A Heart Mended is an adult fable told in an experimental, vignette style. The story begins with a fox who has been shot by an arrow and whose heart begins to unravel and trail behind her in the form of a red thread. A series of animals encounter the thread, become snared by it and ultimately tied together. They must work to free one another and return the fox's heart.
